Leadership Capacity
How?
Leadership Purpose
Science Leadership Identity
I will do this by learning what works in the world of education and collaborate with other educators to make that a reality in our system.
Title
My purpose is to improve science education to help students make informed decisions as citizens of the world (and so we don't have to look up at the sky and see an asteroid coming, realizing it's a little too late).

Work-Embedded Project
Intangible Progress: Establish a channel of communication and collaboration that can be sustained without formal spaces. Easter egg: Math 1 teachers skip literal equations because higher math classes don't use it and they have no idea how ubiquitous it is in Chemistry and Physics. Lesson: Communication --> Understanding --> Collaboration

Now What?
Ride on that momentum
Build on the momentum
Sustain this momentum
What we achieved
Established channel of communication across departments
toward a transdisciplinary unit, in which students investigate a real-world phenomenon and learn what they need in Science, Math, and English to answer a question or solve a problem related to that phenomenon.
Build on the momentum by creating a synchronized week of lessons in Science, Math, and English, so students learn about the same topic in depth and from various perspectives.
