Welcome to Using Digital Tools For Inquiry, Collaboration, and Learning. Digital tools can create new opportunities for students to share ideas, collaborate with peers, and demonstrate their thinking. However, technology is most powerful when it supports meaningful learning experiences rather than simply replacing traditional activities. In this course, you will explore how digital platforms can support inquiry, discussion, and formative assessment. Throughout the modules, you will experiment with different types of tools, design technology-enhanced activities, and observe how students respond to these learning experiences. Participants are encouraged to work with lessons from their current teaching practice so that course activities connect directly to classroom instruction. [Instructor Intro Video] - In this short video, the instructor introduces the course and discusses how digital tools can support inquiry, collaboration, and formative assessment when used intentionally in classroom instruction. By the end of the course, you will have developed practical strategies for integrating digital tools that support collaboration, reasoning, and student engagement.

Preparing for the Course Before beginning the first module, please select a lesson or topic you plan to teach soon. You will use this lesson throughout the course to experiment with digital tools and design technology-enhanced learning activities. If you do not currently have access to a classroom, you may: • design a lesson for a future teaching context • revise a lesson from a previous course • use a hypothetical classroom scenario.
