1.Name and Habitat
The species I chose is the Blue whale. It is the largest animal on Earth.
- It lives in the oceans around the world
- Found mainly in the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans
- Prefers deep, cold waters
2.Why is it Endangered?
The blue whale is endangered mainly because of:
- Past intensive hunting (whaling)
- Very slow reproduction rate
- Human impact on the oceans
Even though hunting is now banned, the population is still recovering.
3.Main Threats
The main threats to blue whales today are:
- Ship collisions
- Ocean pollution (especially plastic and chemicals)
- Climate change, which affects their food supply (krill)
- Noise pollution from ships, which disturbs communication
4.How Can People Help?
People can help protect blue whales by:
- Reducing plastic use
- Supporting organizations that protect marine life
- Respecting ocean wildlife (no pollution)
- Promoting laws that protect oceans
- Raising awareness about endangered species
5.Interesting Fact
- A blue whale’s heart can weigh as much as a car!
- They can grow up to 30 meters long.
- A Blue whale has a tongue that can weigh as much as an elephant!
6.Final Message
The Blue whale is a powerful symbol of the beauty and importance of our oceans. Even though it is the largest animal on Earth, it still needs our protection. Human activities continue to put its survival at risk, which shows how our actions can affect even the strongest species. If we protect blue whales, we are also protecting the entire marine ecosystem. Every small action matters, from reducing pollution to spreading awareness.
' If we take care of the ocean, we take care of our planet and our future.'
Thank you!
