La electricidad es el resultado del movimiento de partículas diminutas llamadas electrones, que poseen una carga eléctrica negativa. Estas partículas se encuentran en los átomos, las unidades básicas de la materia. La electricidad se manifiesta cuando los electrones se mueven a través de un material conductor, como un cable de cobre. Tipos de carga eléctrica:
- Carga positiva (+): Propia de los protones, presentes en el núcleo del átomo.
- Carga negativa (-): Asociada a los electrones, que orbitan alrededor del núcleo.
- Carga neutra: Característica de los neutrones, sin carga eléctrica.

Los imanes, que son fuentes de magnetismo, poseen dos polos:

1.1 Carga eléctrica
1.1 Carga eléctrica
La carga eléctrica es una propiedad física básica de la materia que tienen ciertas partículas subatómicas, como los electrones y los protones, y que se manifiesta mediante fuerzas de atracción o repulsión entre cuerpos cargados. En física, la carga eléctrica es una magnitud escalar que indica “cuánta electricidad” tiene un cuerpo o partícula. Se encuentra en los electrones (carga negativa) y en los protones (carga positiva), mientras que los neutrones no tienen carga neta.

Unidad de medida: La carga eléctrica se mide en coulombios (C) en el Sistema Internacional de Unidades. Un culombio se define como la cantidad de carga que transporta una corriente de 1 amperio durante 1 segundo. Carga del electrón

Definición y Principio:
- La ley de Coulomb, enunciada por el físico francés Charles-Augustin de Coulomb en 1785, describe la interacción entre cargas eléctricas en reposo. Según esta ley, cargas del mismo signo se repelen y cargas de signos opuestos se atraen, y la fuerza resultante actúa a lo largo de la línea que une ambas cargas.
- La Ley de Coulomb describe la fuerza eléctrica entre dos cargas puntuales en reposo: dice que la magnitud de la fuerza es directamente proporcional al producto de las cargas e inversamente proporcional al cuadrado de la distancia que las separa. Además, la fuerza actúa a lo largo de la recta que une las cargas y es de atracción si las cargas son de signo contrario y de repulsión si son del mismo signo.

La carga eléctrica es una propiedad física básica de la materia que tienen ciertas partículas subatómicas, como los electrones y los protones, y que se manifiesta mediante fuerzas de atracción o repulsión entre cuerpos cargados. En física, la carga eléctrica es una magnitud escalar que indica “cuánta electricidad” tiene un cuerpo o partícula. Se encuentra en los electrones (carga negativa) y en los protones (carga positiva), mientras que los neutrones no tienen carga neta.
