Senior Ela Bozkurt crouches down to set up the board that will showcase her AP 2D Design portfolio. “For the pink [painting], it was mostly acrylic, so I just used a bunch of different brushes, spatulas and stuff like that to make the abstract in the background. Then I colored over it with a Posca paint marker.”
Senior Dasia Griffin adds last minute touches to her artwork before the art show. “I use a lot of acrylic, and I put baby powder in it to make it thick so it comes off the board and it's textured. I also used my own baby pictures and I printed them out and then I cut it up and did different things with that too. So I don't have to create a whole new piece because that would take hours," Griffin said.

Senior AP 2D Design student, Hope Ajayi, uses different mediums to complete her portfolio piece in preparation for the art show. "I use a lot of cutouts, I would paint something in my sketchbook, and then cut it out and layer it, because I like the comic book kind of vibe. I used my childhood portraits for some things. I did print making and I used a lot of watercolor," Ajayi said.
