The second image shows the Paris cafe culture where artists and writers like F Scott Fitzgerald sought a more authentic life as they felt alienated and wanted to go to Paris and do what they want. They were discussing the Great Gatsby as they felt disillusioned and wanted answers. They show decadence also in the 2nd image as they are living freely and drinking.
