Hi there, I am Mr. Ryan O’Donnell and I hope you enjoy this game show. Directions for this can be found throughout this slide deck. Look for notes like these and in the notes below each slide. But please, take time to think about how you can modify it to fit your classroom! Enjoy!

You will need to have a helper keep score on the whiteboard

Game Directions

  • Divide the class into four teams.
  • Instruct the class that there will be Pricing Games (guess the cost of items) as well as “Price is Right” (PIR) Games.
  • For each Pricing Game, teams will send one student to the front of the class (you can have them choose or you as the teacher choose).
  • All four students will guess the price of the item (try using white boards).
  • The two students who get the closest without going over will win 10 points for their team and move on to play the next PIR game.
  • These games are variations of the standard Price is Right games. Instead of one person playing, students will compete against each other (Instructions for these are on the corresponding game slides). The winner of this game wins 25 points for their team.
  • After that game is completed, call four new players up for the Pricing Game followed by another Regular Game. Continue this for the rest of the games.
  • The team with the most points at the end wins.
  • There are 6 total games which will give 24 students the opportunity to play (for smaller or larger classes either add or subtract teams).
