Bona Diada!

The Street of Kind Words Every morning, the same street felt cold and silent. People passed by without noticing each other, lost in their own routines. No one stopped, no one spoke, and the street felt empty. One day, a woman left a small note on a bench that read, “I hope you have a good day.” At first, no one reacted, but later someone smiled and added another note beside it. Soon, messages of kindness began to appear everywhere. In the end, strangers started to talk, to listen, and to care. The street became full of life, showing that love begins with simple words.

OUR BEST HOME I remember trips to the mountains when I was young. I loved seeing clear water lakes and beautiful green landscapes. I also remember the smell of the sea in summer and swimming in the Mediterranean with fish around me. Today we see plastic islands in the oceans and rubbish in forests and paths. We buy many things to feel better and forget nature’s beauty. We take care of our homes, but we forget that the planet is our real home. Stop for a moment, look around, think about the future, remember the past, act.

Lieber… Wald…

Fable: The Brother Falcon This fable tells how Francis formed a mysterious friendship with a peregrine falcon that lived in the mountains. Every day, the falcon would visit him and wake him at dawn so that he could pray, thus forging a sincere friendship based on respect and affection. Francis, who loved and respected all creatures in the universe equally, accepted the falcon’s carnivorous nature, and the falcon, realising that the saint needed rest, gradually delayed the time at which he woke him each day. And what this fable symbolises is the essence of true friendship: accepting, trusting and understanding the other.

THE AWAKENING PATH
This world is consumed by flames,
While leaders play these war games.
They hide their true faces,
Stealing lives and sealing fates.
Destruction spreads along the way,
Yet are we the ones who betray?
Open your eyes, free from blindness,
Be ready to end this madness.
Tear down all their empty choices,
Rise above their hollow voices.
Dare yourself to break the chains,
Let freedom and peace run through your veins.
Keep faith, resist the fear,
Face the power and make it clear.

“Voices We Refuse to Hear” What would happen if animals could talk? Our world would be different. It would be a mix of love and pain. Pets would say, “I love you! Stay with me”. The land animals would shout: “We want to be free!” or Let us live in peace.” The aquatic animals would whisper: “Stop poisoning our ocean!”. Their voices would carry love but also suffering. They would just say: Enough silence, Enough pain. If animals could speak, they would ask us to be kinder, more responsible, more human. Animals have their own language, but we choose not to understand it. So, will we finally listen to them?

The walk that I will not forget After walking for hours through the dense savanna, we found a large lake with crystal-clear water. The desperation for that liquid clouded our judgment. We ran there, but when we arrived, we came across the King of the Jungle, he was looking at us threateningly. With nowhere to hide, we saw the end of our days. He approached us with a firm step and made a sign for us to follow him. He took us to where his queen was, with a wounded paw, we treated her as best we could, afraid of being eaten. As a thank you, he took us back to the lake.

Saint Francis of Assisi, you gave up the comfort and wealth to pay attention to aspects which usually go unnoticed.
You prayed to God to be an instrument of peace, and with it you invite us to aspire to be good ones too.
Your love for God, for nature, and for all creatures is exceptional, worthy of admiration.
You called the birds, the sun, and the moon your siblings, and you took care of the most defenceless creatures.
Thank you for inspiring us, for showing us such a precious prayer, and for being an extraordinary example.

Discovering Nature Some people have never connected with nature even though it has been close to us since we were born. But this can change when you realize that Nature is walking alone in the forests, hearing noises you had never heard before, branches moved by the wind, leaves under your feet, your mind free. Nature shows how life can be. One day you can see a little duck following its mother. You may be stepping on soil or rocks millions of years old. Follow an ant carrying a seed and seeing how they interact. Nature teaches you all the time. Nature was here and will be here with or without you. If you embrace it, you will never be alone.

"A Big Wave, A Big Lesson" On a windy beach, there was a proud seagull named Sky and a small crab named Leo. Sky loved to fly high and laugh at Leo. “You are too small and slow!” he said. One day, a big wave came. Sky could not fly because the wind was too strong. “Help!” he cried. Leo quickly showed him a safe place under a rock. Sky felt surprised and thankful. “I am sorry,” he said. He learned that size does not matter and everyone deserves respect. From that day, they shared food and laughed together.

A Simple Path Even though nothing lasts forever, I see day in, day out, cheaters who cheat their own souls, the rich who deceive the poor, the weakest. The world has become nightmarish, yet we should tear out bad thoughts. I am sure a new world is coming, it will follow a path of equality, peace, faith, light, in which nature will bloom like flowers in spring. Poverty will disappear, even wars will surrender, and the only weapon will be ethical books. Words of humility will guide us to love. It is easy, it is simple. We must not let ourselves down.
