ΞΙΦΙΑΝΗ - ΑΛΩΡΟΣ
Η Ξιφιανή και ο Άλωρος (ή το Άλωρο), είναι δύο χωριά που μοιάζουν με ζωντανό βιβλίο ιστορίας. Η Ξιφιανή είναι ένα όμορφο πεδινό χωριό της Αλμωπίας, που πήρε το όνομά του από τον Βυζαντινό στρατηγό Νικηφόρο Ξιφία. Παλιότερα το έλεγαν Κωστούργιαννη, ενώ η ιστορία του ξεκινά αιώνες πριν, αφού έχουν βρεθεί ερείπια από τα πρώτα χριστιανικά χρόνια. Σήμερα οι κάτοικοί του ασχολούνται κυρίως με τη γεωργία, παράγοντας πεντανόστιμα ροδάκινα και σπαράγγια. Σημαντικό σημείο του χωριού είναι ο λόφος του Αγίου Δημητρίου. Εκεί βρίσκεται η παλιά εκκλησία του Αγίου Δημητρίου, χτισμένη το 1857. Η θέα από εκεί πάνω σε όλο τον κάμπο της Αλμωπίας είναι πραγματικά μαγική! Το χωριό Άλωρος είναι ένας ιστορικός οικισμός δίπλα στον Αλμωπαίο ποταμό, με ιστορία που κρατά πάνω από 3.000 χρόνια! Το όνομά της το οφείλει σε έναν αξιωματικό του Μεγάλου Αλεξάνδρου. Στα χρόνια της Τουρκοκρατίας λεγόταν Ρούδινο, Μετά το 1923 εγκαταστάθηκαν στο χωριό πρόσφυγες από τον Πόντο και τη Θράκη. Εντυπωσιακό μνημείο της περιοχής είναι η Γέφυρα του Μεγάλου Αλεξάνδρου, περίπου ένα χιλιόμετρο έξω από το χωριό. Σήμερα σώζονται δύο βάθρα και ένα τοξωτό κομμάτι της.
ΠΟΛΥΚΑΡΠΗ
Η Πολυκάρπη ή το Πολυκάρπιο δεν πήρε τυχαία το όνομά της, αφού είναι ένας τόπος γεμάτος καρπούς και ζωή στους πρόποδες του βουνού Βόρας. Η ιστορία του χωριού μας είναι ένα συναρπαστικό ταξίδι στον χρόνο. Παλαιότερα το ονόμαζαν «Πόλιανη», αλλά μετά το 1920, το χωριό άλλαξε πρόσωπο όταν έφτασαν εδώ οικογένειες προσφύγων από το Αιδίνι και την Προύσσα, που έφεραν μαζί τους νέες ιδέες και μετέτρεψαν την περιοχή σε έναν από τους πιο εύφορους κήπους της Αλμωπίας. Στα σοκάκια του χωριού, η ιστορία «τρέχει» μαζί με το νερό. Οι πέτρινες βρύσες, που εμφανίζονται στον οδηγό μας, δεν ήταν απλά για να πίνουμε νερό, αλλά το «social media» της εποχής: εκεί μαζεύονταν όλοι για να μάθουν τα νέα και να φροντίσουν τα ζώα. Από εκείνη την εποχή μέχρι τη σημερινή σύγχρονη, η Πολυκάρπη παραμένει ένα χωριό που ξέρει να εξελίσσεται, κρατώντας τις παραδόσεις του ζωντανές. Το Δημοτικό Σχολείο μας αποτελεί την «καρδιά» της Πολυκάρπης. Ένα ιστορικό κτίριο που του χρόνου κλείνει 90 χρόνια ζωής! Από το 1937 μέχρι σήμερα, παραμένει ένας φάρος γνώσης, συνδέοντας το χθες με το δικό μας ψηφιακό μέλλον.
ΛΟΥΤΡΑΚΙ
Το Λουτράκι, το "Βασίλειο των νερών", είναι ένας τόπος όπου η φύση κάνει τα δικά της «μαγικά». Στην καρδιά του βουνού Βόρας, βρίσκονται τα περίφημα Λουτρά Ποζάρ, δημιουργώντας ένα φυσικό σπα μέσα στο δάσος, καθώς το ζεστό, ιαματικό νερό αναβλύζει μέσα από τη γη και κυλάει δίπλα στο κρύο ποτάμι! Όμως, η ιστορία του Λουτρακίου κρύβεται ψηλότερα, στο Άνω Λουτράκι. Ακολουθώντας τον ανηφορικό δρόμο ανάμεσα σε δέντρα και βράχια φτάνεις στην ιστορική εκκλησία του Αγίου Γεωργίου και του Αγίου Ιωάννη Πρόδρομου. Ο Άγιος Γεώργιος είναι ο σιωπηλός φρουρός των παραδόσεών μας και ο Άγιος Ιωάννης ο Πρόδρομος ο ναός που κρατάει το χωριό «ζωντανό» ψηλά στο βουνό. Το Λουτράκι δεν είναι μόνο οι πισίνες και οι καταρράκτες, αλλά και το εντυπωσιακό φαράγγι με τα σπήλαια. Εναι ένας τόπος γεμάτος ενέργεια και ομορφιά, που μας διδάσκει πόσο πολύτιμο είναι το περιβάλλον και πώς μπορούμε να το προστατεύσουμε. Από το εντυπωσιακό φαράγγι μέχρι το παλιό και το νέο χωριό, το Λουτράκι μας προσφέρει ένα μοναδικό ταξίδι από την περιπέτεια της φύσης στην ηρεμία της ιστορίας.
