Dentro de la cultura de televisión los latinos se presentan como un personaje divertido y muchas veces humorístico.
El estereotipo del latino viene de la presentación de varios elementos que incluyen una devoción a la religión, un apego intenso a la familia, la comida juega un papel fundamental en este tipo de estereotipo, generalmente la comida mexicana. También destacan las ideas de que las y las latinas suelen ser sexys o tienen una forma de mostrarse más provocativa, esto acompañado de su acento marcado o forma de bailar.
