Creating a fair and focused classroom testing environment

Objective

  • Students will understand appropriate behavior during testing to ensure fairness, respect, and focus for all learners.

Warm-Up Discussion

• Why do we need rules during tests?• How can distractions affect scores?• What does a fair testing environment look like?

Keep Noise to a Minimum

Avoid:

  • Drumming or tapping
  • Smacking lips or loud chewing
  • Whispering or talking
  • Calling out
  • Be respectful of others' focus.

Snacks & Drinks Etiquette

  • Open wrappers quietly before the test if possible
  • Avoid loud crinkling
  • Eat silently
  • No disruptive foods

Headphone Use

  • Only use when allowed
  • Keep volume low
  • No singing or talking along
  • Remove when instructed

No Calling Out

  • Do not shout questions or answers
  • Do not interrupt the teacher
  • Raise your hand and wait quietly

Academic Honesty

  • Cheating includes:
