Our Teaching Philosophy

Teachers must maintain a consistently positive, supportive, and encouraging attitude toward all students. Negative language, scolding, or any form of discouraging behavior is strictly prohibited. The goal is to create a safe and motivating learning environment where students feel comfortable participating and making mistakes.

Our Teaching Philosophy

Our lessons are supported by pre-designed slides tailored to each student’s level. These materials form the core of our teaching system and should be used in most lessons. Teachers are encouraged to take notes to track the slides covered and the student’s progress. This helps maintain consistency and ensures continuity between lessons.

Our Teaching Philosophy

When necessary, teachers may use additional resources such as videos or extra activities to support learning and keep lessons engaging. Teachers take notes to monitor student progress and learning gaps. Our goal is to create a positive, student-centered environment where learners feel comfortable, motivated, and confident using English.

Our Teaching Philosophy

We do not accept any negative attitudes or reactions toward students who make mistakes. Mistakes are a natural and essential part of the learning process. Teachers must always respond with patience, kindness, and encouragement.

Our Teaching Philosophy

Before each lesson, teachers are required to: • Open and review the lesson slides in advance. • Familiarize themselves with the content and objectives of the lesson. • Be fully prepared with any additional materials or resources they plan to use. Teachers may use supplementary materials; however, priority should be given to the resources provided within the platform.

How Lessons Work

When a student makes a reservation, the lesson appointment will appear in your teacher panel. You can access the Zoom link directly from there or through a mail sent to you. Please make sure to join the lesson a few minutes before the scheduled time. Before starting, open the lesson slides and be fully prepared.

How Lessons Work

Not all exercises may be completed within a single lesson. In such cases: • Remaining exercises must be completed in the following lesson. • Teachers should ensure continuity and avoid skipping any activities.

How Lessons Work

In some lessons, the topic is labeled as Review. These lessons are designed to check whether the student has forgotten previous topics. During these sessions, the teacher observes the student’s performance and takes notes on any difficulties. If the student struggles with specific areas, the teacher revisits those topics in the next lesson.

How Lessons Work

Teachers may provide feedback to parents directly or share it with our team, and we will communicate it to the parents. Consistency and preparation are key to effective lessons.

Speaking & Interaction

Speaking is at the core of our teaching system. Teachers should ensure that students are actively involved and speaking throughout the lesson. Our materials already include a variety of listening and speaking activities, games, and interactive tasks. These should be used effectively to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment.

Speaking & Interaction

🔹 Techniques to Use

  • Use shadowing techniques (students repeat after the teacher or audio) to improve pronunciation and fluency
  • Ask follow-up questions during activities to encourage extended speaking
  • Guide students with prompts if they struggle to answer

Speaking & Interaction

🔹 Supporting Shy Students If a student is hesitant or shy:

  • Ask simple and guided questions related to the activity
  • Provide model answers and encourage repetition
  • Support the student patiently and help them build confidence step by step

LEvel Structure

Instruction at My LingoLab is organized into different levels based on age, proficiency, and learning needs.

🔹 Level 0 – Early Learners Age: 0–7 Lesson Duration: 15 or 25 minutes Focus on: Listening and speaking Basic vocabulary (colors, numbers, family, toys) Songs, games, and visual activities 👉 No reading/writing pressure. Learning is fun and interactive.

LEvel Structure

🔹 Level 1 – Kids (7–10/11) Divided into four sub-levels: Beginner Elementary Pre-Intermediate Intermediate

LEvel Structure

Focus on: Basic sentence formation Listening & speaking Introduction to reading and simple writing Interactive activities and games

LEvel Structure

🔹 Teen Levels A1 A2 B1 B2 C1 Focus on: Communication skills Grammar in context Reading, writing, listening, and speaking balance

LEvel Structure

Levels are guidelines, not strict limits. Teachers should always prioritize the student’s actual performance over labels.

Student Level Assessment

At My LingoLab, student levels are determined using trial lessons which are also level assessment materials integrated into our system.

🔹 Level 0 – Early Learners (Ages 4–7)

  • Students in this age group are considered Level 0 by default, as they typically do not have reading or writing skills yet.
  • In the trial lesson or first lesson, the Level 0 Trial Lesson slides are used.
  • After the trial, lessons continue by following the slides in sequence
  • Focus is on listening, speaking, and interaction.

Student Level Assessment

🔹 Level 1 – Kids (7–10/11)

  • For kids, there is a combined trial lesson and level assessment slide set used for all sub-levels.
  • Teachers use this lesson to evaluate the student’s level
  • The slides include teacher guidance for decision-making
  • If the content is too easy, teachers can move to the next level using navigation buttons within the slides

Student Level Assessment

🔹 Teen Assessment (A1–C1)

  • Teen students also follow a trial lesson / level assessment system within the same structure.
  • A single trial/assessment lesson is used to evaluate the student
  • Teachers adjust the level based on the student’s performance and responses
  • Slides include guided progression between levels

Student Level Assessment

🔹 Teacher Responsibility Teachers should:

  • Observe the student’s understanding, speaking ability, and confidence
  • Follow the guided structure within the slides
  • Select the most appropriate level based on performance
🔹 Key Principle Level assessment is flexible, and decisions should always be based on the student’s actual performance, not just age or initial level.

Classroom Guidelines

Teachers are expected to create a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment in every lesson. 🔹 Be Prepared

  • Join the lesson on time (preferably a few minutes early)
  • Open the lesson slides before starting
  • Check your camera, microphone, and materials

Classroom Guidelines

🔹 Create a Positive Atmosphere

  • Be kind, patient, and supportive
  • Encourage students to participate
  • Never show negative reactions to mistakes

Classroom Guidelines

🔹 Classroom Behavior Keep the lesson focused and interactive Avoid distractions Maintain a professional and friendly attitude

Classroom Guidelines

🔹 Technical Standards Keep your camera on Ensure a stable internet connection Be ready to share your screen and materials

Classroom Guidelines

Using Zoom Remote Control

  • Teachers may use the Zoom remote control feature to allow students to interact with activities directly on the screen. This can increase engagement and make lessons more interactive.
  • However, teachers should use this feature carefully and responsibly:
  • Guide the student while they are using remote control
  • Monitor their actions at all times
  • Do not allow misuse or disruptive behavior. If necessary, the teacher should immediately take back control to maintain the flow of the lesson.

Homework Strategy

Homework should always be reviewed and carefully selected according to each student’s individual level. Every student learns at a different pace, even within the same level. Homework materials are available in our system and should be used according to the student’s level. For example, an A1-level student may find certain tasks easy, while another student at the same level may find them challenging. In such cases, the teacher should choose more suitable and accessible tasks and assign them accordingly.

Teacher Panel

All lessons and Zoom links can be accessed through the Teacher Panel. Please watch the video guide for detailed instructions.
