Artemis ii:Humanity's journey back
to the moon
Artemis II had an expected disruption in communications with NASA for about 40 minutes because the moon blocked the radio signal.
Christina Koch is a mission specialist who once set the record for the longest single spaceflight by a woman. She spent almost a year living in space! She is also an electrical engineer and helped with the first all-female spacewalk. On Artemis II, she helps with experiments and mission tasks.
Reid Wiseman is a NASA astronaut and the commander of Artemis II. He previously lived and worked on the International Space Station, where he helped run science experiments in space. Before becoming an astronaut, he was a Navy pilot. He leads the crew and makes sure the mission runs safely.

Victor Glover is the pilot for Artemis II and a former Navy test pilot. He has already traveled to space and spent time on the International Space Station. He made history as the first Black astronaut to live on the space station for a long mission. On Artemis II, he helps fly the spacecraft.
Jeremy Hansen is an astronaut from Canada and represents the Canadian Space Agency. This will be his first trip to space! He used to be a fighter pilot and helps train other astronauts. On Artemis II, he supports the crew and helps carry out the mission.

Artemis II Morning Playlist
How do you wake up in the morning? Astronauts use morning playlists. NASA released the Artemis II crew's playlist and said, "Each track was selected by the Moon crew, continuing a tradition that started more than 50 years ago."The list includes:
- "Sleepyhead" by Young & Sick
- "Green Light" by John Legend and André 3000
- "In a Daydream" by Freddy Jones Band
- "Pink Pony Club" by Chappell Roan
