Recording Equipment
In this project, I filmed most of the scenes using my iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. In scenes where I used medium close-up shots, I preferred to use the iPhone 16 Pro. For scenes where I used medium shots, I used the iPhone 16 Pro Max, because I think it has a camera angle that captures sound better. For example, I was able to hear footsteps and my breathing more clearly, which was important for making the suspenseful scenes feel more realistic. This helped improve the overall atmosphere of the film and made the scenes feel more intense.
Editing Equipment
I also used my HP EliteBook laptop for editing and organizing all the files. Since I use it continuously, I’m already used to it and I know how to work with it better. Even though it’s not new, it works really well for me, and I find it easier to manage everything because of the screen size, especially when I have to look at different clips and timelines at the same time. It also made editing videos on Adobe Premiere Pro more comfortable and efficient. I also used a mouse, because for me it’s easier and faster, and it gives me better control when editing. This helped me be more precise when cutting clips, adjusting effects, and working on details.
Adobe Premiere Pro
- With Adobe Premiere Pro, it was a bit complicated at the beginning because I didn’t know in depth how to use it. I only knew some basic tools like audio, text, and how to join, cut, and edit videos. As the year went on and with this project, I learned more, such as adding effects, using more sounds, adjusting lighting, and applying filters to match the horror genre.
- As I mention, I had to buy the subscription to be able to finish the project properly and avoid losing any progress in my work, which also gave me more time to edit .
- The audio taken from YouTube was transferred through Google Drive so I could use it in my editing process and organize everything in one place.
- This experience made me improve a lot and feel more confident when using Adobe Premiere Pro for editing.
