Porto- Portugal, March 23rd and 27th, 2026
Let's go!
Our Sustainable Journey Begins!
Welcome to the journey of our Erasmus+ project, "Sustainable Steps for Carbon-Free Tomorrows"!
Between March 23rd and 27th, 2026, we successfully completed our first mobility titled "Digital Transformation in Education: Shaping the Future with Technology" in beautiful Porto, Portugal
Hosted by Agrupamento de Escolas Garcia de Orta, we came together with our partners from Poland, Italy, and Portugal to take significant steps toward reducing our carbon footprint through digital tools and green skills
Here is a day-by-day look at our inspiring adventure!

First Steps into Digitalization and Green Skills
We kicked off the first day of our Porto mobility with energetic ice-breaking activities at our host school, Agrupamento de Escolas Garcia de Orta
We took our first digital steps to prevent paper waste by practically experiencing digital presentation tools like Prezi in workshops Then, while preparing presentations on "What is a Carbon Footprint?" with our mixed international groups, we held inspiring brainstorming sessions on how to integrate these "green skills" into our curriculum
It was a fantastic start to shaping a greener and more digital future together!
On our second day, we shared our sustainability practices and experiences in formal education with our partners
Through a presentation by a guest architect and university lecturer, we learned from a professional perspective how modern technologies and digital tools can reduce our carbon footprint
Day 2
Expert Views on Sustainability and Eco-Friendly Explorations
In the afternoon, to get to know the local culture while keeping our carbon footprint at zero, we visited a sardine production factory entirely on foot and took a nature walk in a city park. It was a day full of inspiration, knowledge, and practical examples of sustainability.
Day 3
Integrating Modern Technologies into Education
In the afternoon, without compromising our sustainable environmental awareness, we walked to a chocolate museum and enjoyed a pleasant stroll along the river. As we crowned our day with the delicious flavors of traditional Portuguese cuisine, we collected intense but equally inspiring moments
Using Scratch, we designed educational animated videos that can be used in subjects like math, science, and English, and discussed how Virtual Reality (VR) goggles can increase the engagement of the whole class
Our third day was entirely focused on the integration of modern technologies into classroom education.
Day 3
Day 4
A Journey into Portugal's Cultural Heritage
We felt once again how cultural interaction, international tolerance, and discovering new horizons are such an important part of the Erasmus+ spirit
We visited an impressive medieval castle that took us on a journey through time, museums reflecting the region's cultural heritage, and religious sites that fascinated us with their unique architecture.
We set off for the charming city of Guimarães, widely regarded as the birthplace of the Portuguese nation
We dedicated our fourth day to exploring the rich history and culture of Portugal.
Day 5
On the final day of our mobility, we refined the sustainability materials we produced throughout the week and summarized how we can reduce our carbon footprint with modern technologies
The most exciting part was discussing the future of the project; we have already started planning for our next mobility, "From Waste to Resource: The Future of Recycling and Waste Management," which we will host in Turkey in October 2026
We concluded this magnificent week with an emotional Fado concert in the enchanting atmosphere of the Benedictine Monastery. Thanking the Portuguese school and its principal for their warm hospitality, we set off for our countries with new skills for greener tomorrows!
Planning the Future and an Emotional Farewell
Certificates of Attendance
Filled with new digital skills for sustainability and inspiration for greener tomorrows, we set off on our journey back to our countries. See you at our next stop in Turkey!
At the end of this wonderful and productive five-day mobility, we proudly received our certificates of attendance during the closing ceremony.
We deeply thank the Portuguese school and its principal for their warm hospitality that made us feel right at home.
Our Porto journey ends here, but our green mission continues! Share our story and get ready for our next stop: Turkey!
