Pre-Quilting Check List for Dream Big Automation
- QCT 6 Plus or Pro Versions
- Designs-There are several websites you can purchase a complete set of designs.
- Copy to a new folder Dream Big
- mouse and adaptor
- Access to your hand wheel on the back of your machine if you don't have (Needle Jog.)
- Ruler Base for some measureing and markings. Optional
- Thread
- Bobbins
- Needles Remember the thread weight detmines the needle size.
- Panel
- Backing
- Batting
- Frame Hoop or Rolling
- Machine At least 13" or longer.
- Marking pencils
- Ruler 3X8" for helping find the centers
Open up your QCT 6 Plus or Pro Using "Select & Sew" On the Bottom left of the "Pattern Placement" Screen fnd and click on the "All" button to the right of the "Toolbox" select "One Point" and below change the position of the placement node to be located "Center." Inside the "Toolbox" click on "Marking Tool" and move your machine around the shape in small short increments roughly quarter inch with every movement tap on the "Add+" under the "Points." This will help you precisely draw curvy shapes. It is worh taking the time to mark around your shape to place and quilt your design accurately. Jog the needle of your machine down or use the hand wheel on the back of the machine and rotate it so that the needle is closer to the quilt. This will help you stay precise and accurate.
