Follow up meeting for student.
A teacher has submitted an RtI referral.
CPS Team creates a NEW EVENT in FOCUS - Tier 1 Review Meeting. They review the referral and accompanying
documentation, conduct data-based problem-solving
(ICEL/RIOT) and/or evaluate the student's response to Tier 1
evidence-based strategies/interventions and possible need for more support.
If the student is making acceptable progress and the referral for Tier 2 is denied, the referring teacher should be informed and provided with justification and evidence-based Tier 1 intructional strategies. Set a follow up date for review.
