Opening Hours
  • Daily, 6:30 a.m. - 10 p.m.
  • Closed Wednesdays for maintenance
  • All-weather turf paddock closed on second Tuesday of each month
  • May close without prior notice due to wet, icy or other hazardous conditions

Prohibited Items & Activities

  • No food for human or canine consumption
  • No glass containers, alcohol, tobacco or smoking
  • No commercial use including dog training classes, solicitations or advertisements except as provided in Section 9-11-3(n) of the Code of Ordinances
  • No dog grooming inside or outside of the dog park (e.g., bathing, nail clipping, brushing, applying products, etc.)
  • No strollers, carts, skateboards, bicycles, e-bikes, roller blades, scooters or motorized vehicles unless used for mobility assistance

Paddocks

  • Two for large dogs
  • One for small dogs (under 30 pounds)
  • One for all dogs (all weather turf - open during rain of shine)
Park rules
  • Dogs must be on leash when entering and exiting the double-gated entry area
  • Dogs must be off leash when inside the paddocks
  • Owners and handlers must have a visible leash at all times
  • Any pinch, prong, or spiked collars must be removed inside the paddocks
  • Owners and handlers are liable for any injury or damage caused by their dog and must repair damages (e.g., fill in holes dug by the dog)
  • Owners and handlers release and discharge the City of Coppell from liability for any injury or damage caused to or by dogs during any time while using the park
  • Dog bites to humans must be reported to Coppell Animal Services at 972-304-3515

Owner & Handler Responsibilities

  • Owners and handlers must be at least 16 years of age
  • Children under the age of 10 are not allowed inside the paddocks
  • Children between the ages of 10 to 15 must be under strict adult supervision
  • Children are not allowed to run with or chase dogs inside the paddocks
  • No more than three dogs per owner or handler
  • Owners and handlers must remain in the park and keep their dog(s) in sight and under voice control at all times
  • Owners and handlers must pick up and dispose of their dog’s feces both inside and outside of the paddocks

Dog Requirements & Restrictions
  • Dogs must be licensed and have proof of current rabies vaccinations.
  • Dogs belonging to Coppell residents must display city license tags issued by Animal Services
  • Dogs must be free of illness, disease, parasites and open wounds
  • Puppies under four months of age are not permitted
  • Female dogs “in heat” are not permitted
  • No dog designated, declared, or found to be a "dangerous dog" in accordance with Article 9-1-18 of this code shall be allowed in the dog park

General Guidelines

  • Park users assume all risks related to use of the dog park
  • Park users are expected to demonstrate respect for public property and the rights of other users through adherence of the guidelines listed
  • All other general park rules and city ordinances apply while using the dog park
  • Violators may be subject to removal from the park and may be suspended of park privileges
