Building Background Knowledge

subheading?

Every time students learn about science, history, geography, art, or any topic in the world, we’re building their background knowledge. When they encounter those topics in texts, they have a better understanding of the text at hand because of the knowledge they already bring to the table. Wit & Wisdom’s curriculum is designed to build this background knowledge by: Immersing students in topic-focused modules. Engaging students in high-interest topics explored in depth over 6-8 weeks. Examining a single central topic from multiple perspectives using diverse texts and media. click the image to the right TO SEE HOW KNOELDGE BUILDS ACROSS GRADE LEVELS
