Explain the services offered by the Job Centre/Training Centre and the conditions of access.
Conduct an interview to create a user/beneficiary file: personal data and other relevant info.
Interview a user/beneficiary with a focus on the CV.
Make, cancel and move appointments.
Communicate on the phone in different scenarios.
Give advice according to the needs of the user/beneficiary.
Explain how to apply for a jobseeker’s allowance.
Learning goals
By the end of this class, students should:

be familiar with the vocabulary on the SIGAE platform in English;
be able to ask polite questions according to the information they need to register on SIGAE;
02
use vocabulary related to skilled and unskilled jobs and economic sectors;
03

use the previous vocabulary in different vocabulary exercises, written and spoken.

Speaking activityThe support material for this speaking task will be shared by e-mail before the class and includes 2 files: 1 scenario bank and 1 registration form. The role-plays are short and straight to the point to help you memorise and use relevant vocabulary/phrases. The goal is that each pair may prepare 2 interviews, switching roles. The scenario bank has 20 citizen cards with different backgrounds to cover different vocabulary and phrases.
