Internet

How the internet developed
During the Cold War (1960), the Americans were afraid that a nuclear bomb could destroy their communication.They designed ARPANET. If a PC was destroyed, the others could reroute their messages. The larger the network, the stronger it is in case of attack. It grew more rapidly after the invention of the TCP/IP system, which could incorporate already existing networks different from the one the USA was using. In the 1970s, more sites from all over the world joined the network. With the invention of the World Wide Web (it could include graphics, videos, etc...), more ordinary people started buying personal computers and around the year 2000 it was widespread all around the world.
Internet Telephony
Internet technology is changing telephone communications by using Internet Protocol (IP), which sends information faster and more cheaply by breaking it into digital packets that are addressed and routed across the network instead of using a direct connection.
The Internet and It's core
The Internet is a worldwide network of connected computers that allows people to communicate and share information.It has grown rapidly over the past 25 years, linking many countries. The Internet works like a system of highways, where data travels between computers. Services like websites, messaging, and file sharing run on top of this network. Computers are connected using different technologies, including cables, fiber optics, wireless signals, and satellites.
How and How?
All that the Internet does is move information from a PC to another, without making a difference between emails, images, etc..., because of this, the Internet can be used to create new apps easily, an example is Skype, the creator just made a program to convert the video into Internet data.There are many ways to communicate on the Internet, these are:
- blogs, other people can watch what you post but can’t respond;
- e-mails, current letters;
- messaging, text-based and fast;
- video calling;
- e-mail newsletters, like e-mails but to a list of people and not to one person.
