MANY METRO STUDENTS CAN HAVE A CHALLENGING TIME GETTING HELP ON SUBJECTS THAT THEY ARE STRUGGLING ON AND EVEN BE ON THE SPECIAL LIST.... ADDITIONALLY, TEACHERS MUST SPEND EXTRA TIME AFTER SCHOOL OR DURING SCHOOL TO TUTOR THESE STUDENTS
THE MODEL
A website where students can tutor each other students for volunteer hours, in addition to helping these students perform better in class

SUBject Matching
Students will be matched with tutors based on their specific subject needs, making sure the tutors have excelled in these subjects.

These students can ask for help of they have matching study halls or after school or even online.

THIS ISSUE ISNT METRO SPECIFIC
Tutoring access in St. Louis is severely limited by a "zip code effect" that leaves thousands of students underserved. While demand is high, the expiration of federal funding and chronic transportation shortages make consistent, high-impact sessions nearly impossible for many families to reach. Consequently, academic support remains fragmented, with logistical barriers preventing the most vulnerable students from receiving the individualized instruction they need.

According to many studies, tutoring is not only beneficial to the student being tutored but also the tutors. In fact, this specific idea of peer tutoring has been done in other studies. Specifically, North Star's tutoring program showed that 54% of students that recieved tutoring from their peers passed classes in the second quarter that they failed in the first quarter.
