Information about the activity. This activity is about travelling and it will take between 25 and 35 minutes. It consists of three tasks: - Warm-up task - Main task - Reflection task When you're ready to start, click on the arrow!

Before you start...

The expressions on the right may be useful for asking questions and exchanging information. Remember to:

  • Speak in English.
  • Say your name and take turns speaking.
  • Record from the beginning.
  • Take notes if you need to because you won't be able to go back to previous slides.

Warm-up task

In this task, you and your partner will see different questionnaires and you are going to exchange information. Decide who is Student A and Student B and click on the corresponding button to start!

Answer the questionnaire below and exchange information. Watch out! You have different questions. You start presenting your information. Procedure:

  • First, answer the questions on the questionnaire.
  • Next, ask your partner their opinion about each of the questions on your questionnaire and react to their answers. Ask your partner at least 3 questions to get more details or to clarify any doubts.
  • Finally, listen carefully to the information your partner shares and take notes to help you remember what they say.

Information exchange task

From the information shared in the previous task, you are going to talk about your travelling preferences and find out what you have in common.

  • What type of traveller do you think your partner is and why? Do you agree with your partner's opinion about you?
  • What do you have in common? Have you had similar travel experiences?
  • Do you think you could go on a trip together?

Follow-up

There is no single solution to this task!

During your conversation, did you use any of the following expressions?

  • Habits and frequency: You usually travel with your family; You travel twice a year, usually in the summer or in the winter.
  • Opinion: Are you a very organised traveller, do you plan everything before you go, do you like discovering less touristic places? I think you're a curious traveller and you ask questions about the history of where you are.
  • Compare: You prefer to fly because it's faster, you travel in a different way from me because you plan everything and I tend to improvise, you don't like travelling in a group but I do.
