Some of the plants came from former Portuguese colonies, which shows how the garden is also linked to the history of discoveries and scientific exchanges.
Many of the objects we saw in the laboratory are original and were used many years ago, meaning pratically everything that was shown, the students and professors also used on their classes along time ago. Our biology teacher, Fátima Fernandes studied in one of the labs.
