Employee Expectations
- Alpaca Shirt (Tucked into pants)
- If an undershirt is worn it must be black
- Black or Khaki shorts (must be below the knees)
- Name tag pinned to the right side of the chest
- Hair touching your collar must be tied neatly in a bun
- Nails must be less than 1/2 inch long
- Facial hair neatly groomed
- Plain wedding band only (no additional rings or stones)
- Stud earrings only (no hoops or dangling earrings permitted)
Uniform Policy
It is extremely important to Alpaca that the Company presents a professional image to guests. To ensure this objective is met, employees are required to abide by the Company’s Uniforms and Personal Appearance policies. You will receive 2 shirts at the beginning of your employment, and you can purchase additional shirts if desired.

Cell Phone Policy
Cell Phones and electronic devices are allowed in the store, but are not to be out especially during busy times. Once an employee's tasks are completed, no customers needing assistance, and with a manager's permission, an employee may step away to use their cell phone. Phone must stay away and out of sight at all times. Consistent unauthorized cellphone usage can result in disciplinary actions.

Employee Expectations
Employees are expected to conduct themselves in a positive manner. Such conducts include:
- Follow the policies set in place by Alpaca
- Report to work on time in complete uniform, being at the assigned work station, ready for work, at the assigned time
- Give proper notice whenever unable to work or unable to report on time
- Comply with employee health policy
- Comply with all company safety and security regulations
- Maintain work area and work place clean and organized
- Good grooming and personal hygiene is mandatory
- Fingernails must be kept clean; length must not be longer than a ½ inch from the end of your finger
- Nail color and design must be “conservative” and not cause any distraction to staff and customers
- Allowed accessories and jewelry must look simple and professional
- Visible tattoos and other visible body modifications may be permitted but gang/violence related tattoos must stay covered at all times
- Treat guests, vendors, and other employees members in a courteous and professional manner
- Smoke only in designated areas not in the view of a customer and when allowed by management
- Eat only during breaks and only in the designated areas
- Take care of company property
- Perform all assigned tasks and/or side work in an efficient manner and in compliance with the established quality standards and procedures
- Report to management any unethical, dishonest, or illegal conduct by other staff members, guests and vendors

Employee Meals and Discounts
Employee Meal Policy:- Employees receive one meal up to $15 per shift
- Must work at least 4 hours to qualify
- If the meal goes over $15, the employee must pay the difference
- Meals must be eaten in the restaurant
- Meals cannot be taken home if not used
Employee Discount:
- Employees receive 20% off on their day off or for extra items
Discount does NOT apply to:
- Lomo Plate
- Bottled beverages
- Chicha Morada and Horchata
- Desserts
- Half or Whole Chicken (for the $15 meal)
Break Policy
- Employees must work at least 4 hours to receive a 30-minute unpaid break
- Employees working a double shift (10+ hours) receive a 1-hour unpaid break
- Break times are set and approved by the Manager on Duty based on business needs
Drug & Smoking Policy
- Alpaca is a drug-free workplace
- Possession or sale of illegal drugs will result in immediate termination
- No smoking inside the restaurant
- This includes cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and vaping
- Smoking is only allowed in designated areas with manager approval
- No smoking in company vehicles
- This will result in disciplinary action
Attendance & Time Off
- Arrive 5 minutes early, in full uniform, and ready to work
- Be at your station on time to help the shift run smoothly
- Use this time to check your station and get updates
- Calling Out or Running Late
- You must call and speak directly to the Manager on Duty
- Do not text or message another team member
- Give at least 3 hours notice before your shift
- When possible, notify the day before
- If running late, call as soon as possible
- Tardiness and absences are not guaranteed to be excused and may lead to disciplinary action.
Time Off Requests:
- Submit requests at least 2 weeks in advance
- Use the proper system or speak with your manager
- Approval is not guaranteed
- Requests are approved based on staffing and business needs
