LENT

Lent is a 40 day season of prayer, fasting and almsgiving to prepare Christians for the celebration of Jesus Christ’s resurrection. It is observed by Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, some Protestant denominations and also churches that follow a liturgical calendar with special services and holidays celebrated every year on particular days.
