What is the I-9 Form
The I-9 form is a mandatory U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services document used to verify that an employee is legally authorized to work in the United States.
Both employers and employees must complete it, with employees providing proof of identity and authorization, and employers documenting the verification.
Important information:
Employers must complete Section 2 within three business days of the employee's start date.
Some of acceptable doucments are; U.S Passport, drivers license, social security card, or birth certificate.
Employers must retain this form for all employees.
