The ocean holds a lot of Earth’s water. When the sun warms it, water can rise into the air. ✨The ocean is where much of the water cycle begins!

Clouds are made of tiny drops of water in the air. They form when water vapor cools down high in the sky. ✨ Clouds are part of how rain is made!

The sun gives energy that warms water on Earth. This heat helps water turn into vapor and rise into the air. ✨ The sun powers the entire water cycle!

Rain happens when water falls from clouds back to Earth. This helps water return to rivers, lakes, and oceans. ✨ Rain keeps plants, animals, and people alive!

When the sun heats water, it turns into an invisible gas called water vapor. This vapor rises into the air from oceans, lakes, and rivers. ✨ You can’t see water vapor, but it’s always around us!

As water vapor rises, it cools and turns back into tiny drops of water. These drops gather together to form clouds. ✨ Clouds are made of tiny drops of water floating in the sky!

When clouds get too full of water, the drops fall back to Earth as rain. Sometimes, precipitation can also be snow or hail. ✨ Rain helps fill rivers, lakes, and the ground with water again!

Water gathers in oceans, lakes, rivers, and the ground. From there, the water cycle begins again. ✨ The same water moves through the cycle again and again!
