Summary

You will be creating a presentaiton to pitch a new food product that will be mass produced by your food company. This will be completed by yourself OR with a partner. (No groups of 3) Follow the instructions on this page to complete your project.

Presentation Options

3: Create a Video

1: Classic

Create a classic presentation using: Slides, Prezi, Canva, Genially, or any other classic presentation option you are confortable with.

Record yourself pitching your product as if you where on Shark Tank. Use props and any other items you wish to help.

4: Poster

Create an interactive image on Genially to help desctibe your product.

Create a poster, digitally or physically, describing the information you researched about your new product.

Product Testing and Refinement

Who is your target customer: Do you have a specific demographic you are targeting or is the product for everyone? How will you test your product, what are you looking for in your results? Are there any similar products on the market? What will you do to stand apart from these products?

• Come up with "studies" that you have performed as feedback for your product
• Explain which demographic you are targeting
• Explain why your product is unique

Ingredients

Once you have settled on a product, now it is time decide what ingredients you want to be in your product, and how will these ingredients affect the price/taste/porduction of your product:All natural vs Artificial ingredients Sugar vs High Fructos Corn Syrup vs Artificial Sweeteners Food Coloring vs No Food Coloring What seasonings will you use

Food for thought:

• All natural ingredients will cost more but will most likely be healthier.
• Is your focus on Flavor or Health?
• Think of the logistics, is your ingredients rare or hard to obtain, do you have to import these?
• Why is food coloring used? Do you want to focus on how your product LOOKS or TASTES?

Packaging and Presentation

How is you product bing packaged? What machines (if any) will you be using to mass produce your new product? What labelilng will you use? Is there any information that will cause your product to stand out? What will your packaging look like? What design will you use?

• Come up with a package label for your product
• Make sure you add anything that makes your product unique
• Packaging needs to stand out but also customers need to be able to identify what your product is

Creating presentation

Using the information you have researched Create a presentation that compiles all your information Choose from the list of presentation options and turn in your completed product by 4/2 or 4/3

• Classic Presentation (Slides, Canva, Genially, etc)
• Create a Video
• Poster (digital or physical)

Food Production Development

Decide if you are going to work with a partner or by yourself. You will brainstorm product ideas for you "Company" to produce and distribute to your target consumers. It is up to you to decide what you want to focus on with your new product: New/Different Falvors Health Benifits Taste Improvments

Your product will be developed in 1 of the following categories:
