Summary
Parents are heavily concerned with the wellbeing of their children, this leads to a tendancy to make sure that their child is doing good while away for college and thriving outside of the watchful eyes of their caregivers. This concern allows parents to regularly check up with their child in order to still provide a support system from a distance, but as stated before with a previous source, not many parents are aware of what their child is actually experiencing or the fact that the child is willing to express these thoughts.
Summary
Most of these sources highlight the important role of mental health intervention and the positive nature that it is providing to their students. Using actual testimony, surveys, and studies to show how much College students have to go through while striving to succeed academically in a competitive environment.

Summary
Some of these sources show a disconnect between Parents and Offspring, these come due to the fact that the level of interaction lowers due to the distance between home and college. Going from seeing your child to the only interaction being through phone or text lowers can severly impact the knowledge a parent has about their child while they are away. This adds to the point with one sources saying that around 60% of parents actually know what their child is facing in college both mentally and academically.
Summary
Parents are undergoing changes with their child who are leaving home to live in a different environment than their childhood home, this change for parents is especially difficult since they go from an active support system to a supporting role for their child. This highlights how not only the student experiencing a big change in lifestyle but their parents are not their primary support system anymore as their child expands into autonomy.
