Les Alcanes c'est quoi ??
Molécules composées uniquement de carbone (C) et d'hydrogène (H), reliées par des liaisons simples C–C.
- Formule Générale : Cn H2n+2
- Structure : Ce sont des molécules saturées, ce qui signifie qu'elles ne possèdent que des liaisons simples entre les atomes de carbone.
- Propriétés Physiques :
Leur état dépend de la longueur de la chaîne (gaz pour le méthane, liquide pour l'octane, solide pour la paraffine). Ils sont hydrophobes (insolubles dans l'eau).
Les Alcools c'est quoi ??
Les alcools sont des dérivés d'alcanes où au moins un atome d'hydrogène est remplacé par un groupement hydroxyle (−OH).
- Formule générale : Cn H2n+1 0H
- Le Groupe Caractéristique : Le groupe −OH est lié à un carbone saturé. C'est ce groupe qui détermine les propriétés chimiques de la molécule.
- Propriétés Clés :
Polarité : Contrairement aux alcanes, les alcools sont polaires, ce qui les rend souvent miscibles à l'eau (pour les petites molécules comme l'éthanol). Température d'ébullition : Elle est beaucoup plus élevée que celle des alcanes correspondants à cause des liaisons hydrogène.
