Whats the plan?

We are going to go through a couple of examples of what you may see in the 6012 & 6040 screen after cancelling a policy.

Accounts screen will also show refund/outstanding

Conclusion

Check the following:

  • Screen 6040 or 6046
  • Check 6012
  • Check the process date
  • Has the payment been rejected?

Use the Process date

Every day the process date is updated by PA, If your unsure check the date before advising.

Accounts screen

  • Account balance will show as a minus figure for a refund
  • Account balance will show in red if outstanding

Outstanding of £24.79

Refund due of £6.09

Processing payment of £83.98.
  • If clears refund due of £107.49.
  • If doesn’t clear refund of £23.51

Policy Lapsed due to Cancelled Direct debit

  • Cancellation now backdated to Jan 31st
  • Manual refund by cheque of £92.29
