June 1924 – Matteotti murdered • Kidnapped and killed by Fascists Why important: • HUGE crisis → Mussolini almost falls Late 1924 – Aventine Secession • Opposition leaves parliament 👉 Why important: • Massive mistake • Mussolini now controls parliament completely
