The refugees' ship powers up, engines humming. The predator is wounded, limping through the trees, but still coming. Military helicopters close in, searchlights sweeping.
The lead refugee grabs your arm. "You can't stay. Come with us."
Before you can argue, you're pulled onto the boarding ramp as the ship rises. Below, the predator's enraged scream echoes through the trees. Then silence.
The ship approaches the quarry when its engines sputter—just for a moment. You lose your grip and tumble into the dark water below.
You surface, gasping, as the ship vanishes into the clouds without a sound.
You're safe. But the military is still out there, and they know something happened. You climb out of the water, soaked and shivering. Looks like you're walking home wet.

The closer site has fresh boot prints heading toward it—someone else got there first.
Power core in hand, you sprint through the woods toward the refugee camp. Behind you, the predator is closing in. Above you, military helicopters circle. Everyone is converging on the same point.
Checkpoint: Make it to the refugee camp before the predator catches you—or before the military blocks your path.
Pit the alien predator against the military. They can weaken if not eliminate each other.
Deep in the woods, you find the refugee ship. It's battered but intact, resting against a hillside. A small group of aliens huddle nearby—smaller than the predator, with large dark eyes and skin that shimmers like moonlight on water. When they see you, they flinch. Then one steps forward, pressing a translator.
"Please help us." The voice is soft, tired. "Our ship cannot fly. The power core is failing. If we don't replace it, we'll be trapped here."
They glance toward the trees, fearful. "The hunter. He's coming for us."
Assess the refugees' needs and decide how to help. The predator isn't here yet—but he's close. Every moment you spend talking is a moment he gains.
The power core is the size of a lunchbox, but heavy like a lunchbox of bricks. The refugee aliens inform you that the predator's ship uses the same power core.
It's following heat signatures. If someone creates a distraction—a flare, a fire, a loud noise—it might investigate instead of reporting.
You race back to the predator's ship. It's still there, still unattended. But now you have a mission: steal the power core and get it to the refugees before the predator catches them.
Get inside the predator ship and steal the power core. The predator is away hunting, but it could return any moment.
The ship's damage is mostly superficial, it's mostly scratched and dented. It could be repaired quickly with the right parts—parts that might be on the other ship.
There's two crash sites. The military is starting to quarantine the forest. Which site should the Odd Club investigate before the military cordons off the area? The closer site is a mile in, with a thin trail of smoke still rising. The farther site is near the quarry—harder to reach, but no smoke.
The alien predator disappears into the woods. You're left standing at its ship, heart pounding. You can still hear the distress call from the other alien ships, the real refugees, the ones being hunted. Somewhere in these woods, the real refugees are hiding. They don't know what's coming. You have to warn them. You have to get there first. But you don't know where they are. Your eyes drift back to the predator's ship. It's dark, silent, unattended. If there's any clue to the refugees' location—a map, a tracking screen, a communication log—it would be inside. Do you risk entering the predator's ship to find the refugees' location? The predator could return any moment. The military is closing in. And the ship could have a security system on.
The clubhouse is buzzing. Everyone saw the lights last night—two fireballs, one chasing the other, trailing smoke and sparks. They hit somewhere in Whispering Pines. By morning, a news crew is already at the forest edge, and you spot a military jeep with two soldiers at the ranger station. The adults are mobilizing fast.
A twig snaps in the trees. Through the trees, you see it—a sleek, mechanical drone, hovering silently, its single red lens scanning the forest. It must be from the predator, sent to scout ahead. If it spots you, it will report back immediately. You have seconds to hide, disable it, or lead it away before it alerts the hunter.
As you're figuring things out, a helicopter approaches overhead. You hear radio chatter, shouting and cars approaching through the trees. Soldiers are moving through the woods, closer than before. They've heading towards the crash site. You have to move now, or you'll be trapped here.
You push deeper into the woods, following the smoke. The air smells of ozone and burnt metal. Then you see it: a sleek, dark craft, half-buried in a crater. It's larger than a car, with sharp angles and a hull that seems to absorb light. The surrounding trees have been scorched. A hatch is open, and a figure lies nearby—tall, thin, with too many joints. It's injured. When it sees you, it raises a hand weakly. A device on its wrist flickers, and a scratchy voice says: "Help... please... they attacked us... we crashed..." Approach the being and decide whether to help. Something seems off...
As you approach the forest edge, a military jeep rolls up. A soldier hops out. "Area's restricted, kids. Geological survey. Turn around." You know he's lying. Behind him, you see a path into the woods—unguarded for now. You'll have to sneak past or find another way.

A low hum fills the ship—an alarm will trigger if you make too much noise or touch the wrong panel. FULLY TRUST: The predator fully secured the ship. You're inside, power core in hand, when an alarm blares. The predator knows. It's coming back. You have seconds to escape before it catches you in the ship.

The being pleads for your help. It needs a power cell, a replacement part, time to heal. It claims the other ship is full of monsters who will kill everyone. You reach the refugee ship. The refugees are terrified—the predator is seconds behind you. The military is regrouping, heading this way.
Help get the power core installed. Handle the predator the best you can.
A faint radio signal crackles from inside the alien's ship. The being's eyes flicker. "It's the other ship. They're calling for help," it hisses. "Don't listen to them. They're the hunters." But the signal sounds desperate, genuine.
