Our lead educators
Mina is a Jewish educator with over 20 years of experience in experiential Jewish educational settings. Mina basically grew up in Szarvas, where she came for the first time when she was 8 or 9 years old. She was Szarvas’ Program director for 10 years. Mina now runs Haver Srbija, a Jewish NGO based in Belgrade, and works as a Jewish educator for the int'l organization Mem Global.
Steve is a British/Israeli long-time Jewish educator who has been involved with the Szarvas community for around 20 years and has enjoyed that involvement very much. He lives in Jerusalem which is a complicated place to live, and despite being officially retired, lives as full and as rich a life as he could possibly want (sometimes too much so).

Education has always been a central part of Kepi’s life: she worked as a high school teacher for 20 years, and she loves seeing how knowledge and learning can transform people. Diversity inspires her, and she values spaces where different perspectives meet. She works with the Hungarian community and the educational team during the year.
Sonja was born in Subotica, Serbia. Over the years, she has worked in the field of Jewish education and community development, focusing on initiatives that encourage dialogue, challenge discrimination, and promote active and responsible citizenship both within the Jewish community and in wider society. She grew up in Szarvas, and her experiences at the camp shaped who she is today.
