How to save the Planet
Emanuele Pietro Bellucci, Matteo Graziotti e Alessandro Sassara
What the Earth means to us?
For us, Earth is our common home, the only known planet that supports life, providing air, water, food, and a precious ecosystem for the survival of humans, animals, and plants. It represents an irreplaceable resource.
The problems part 1
- Pollution
- Ozone Depletion
- Waste Disposal
Pollution
Pollution is the alteration of the environment (air, water, soil) caused by human activities that release harmful substances, damaging ecosystems and health. The main causes include fossil fuels, traffic, industry, and waste. To reduce polution there are many solutions like sustainable energy or use less internal combustion cars.
Ozone's hole
The ozone hole is a thinning of the ozone layer in the atmosphere, which is located at about 15-50 km altitude (ozone sphere), caused by pollutants such as CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) used in sprays and refrigerators. To close the ozone's hole we have to eliminate the CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons).
Waste disposal
Waste disposal is the final process of managing materials that are no longer useful, aiming to protect the environment through recycling, incineration, or landfill. Separate waste collection (paper, glass, plastic, organic waste) is essential, allowing waste to be transformed into new resources or energy.
Global warming
Global warming is the increase in Earth's average temperature, caused primarily by human activities that release greenhouse gases (such as CO2). This is solved by eliminating greenhouse gas emissions that trap heat in the atmosphere
