Colorado is one of the 50 American states, and between all of them it’s one of the most interesting. First of all it’s located in the mid-western part of the US, has an extension of abut 269 km2 (8th place in the largest state ranking) and a total population of 6 million people, called “Coloradans”. Colorado became the 38th state of the US in 1876, exactly one hundred years after the United States Declaration of Independence. Because of this, the state is often called “The Centennial State.” The capital city is Denver, a very important economic and cultural centre.
GEOGRAPHY
One of the most fascinating things about this state is his geography. It has a lot of stunning landscapes, especially the mountain ones. The Rocky Mountains are one of the most important mountain ranges in North America. This place attracts millions of tourists every year who enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, and climbing. But here there’s not only mountains, the state also has forests, plateaus, canyons, and large plains in the eastern part.
