Mateo
The grandmother tells you, “We speak Spanish at home, but he doesn’t say many clear words yet. His cousin needed speech therapy. Maybe we should stop Spanish and only speak English so he doesn’t get confused.” What do you do?
8:05 AM – Morning Drop-Off Mateo’s grandmother speaks Spanish with him before leaving. Later you notice Mateo mostly uses gestures and Spanish words. A colleague whispers:"He might be behind in language development.".
Ava
9:40 AM – Snack Time Ava repeatedly drops her spoon from her high chair. Another teacher says: "She always does this."
The work is of good quality and it seems you completed it entirely without AI help, but during the oral review, they ask you questions about the text and you don't know how to answer well.
How do you decide to act?
The work improves, now it really looks like you did it 100% yourself and, additionally, you learn while correcting. Still, you doubt whether you should acknowledge that you used AI.
How do you solve it?
Wow, your teacher has serious suspicions that the work does not reflect your usual writing style.
Now, how do you act?
Superficial learning
You submit the work and get a good grade, but learn little because you relied too much on AI. Over time, you understand that technology helps, but does not replace reflection or personal effort. You learn that using AI without judgment gives quick results, but prevents true learning.

Reflection and improvement
You recognize your mistakes when using AI or not being fully transparent, but you take responsibility and reflect. You understand that digital tools should be used ethically and purposefully, and that honesty strengthens your credibility and learning. Although you failed, you turned your mistakes into opportunities for growth.
restart
Ethics and autonomy
You found the balance between using technology and maintaining your academic integrity. You used AI as support, with transparency and responsibility, showing autonomy and ethics. This attitude strengthened your skills and reflected academic maturity by making decisions consistent with your values in a constantly changing digital world.
