FarewellD115
Inside of D115
What is your favorite memory in D115?
My favorite D115 memory was the days before off the floor when everyone around would be working really hard, helping each other out with page design and finishing up the newspaper. I feel like I saw the best of the staff then and we definitely all felt the closest during a time crunch like that. I loved my little corner in D115 and I definitely made some of my favorite high school memories there!
- Kayla Nguyen, 2024-25 sports photography editor
My favorite D115 memory is being celebrated during shoutouts for contributions towards the program. I think these are an undervalued but important way that The Sidekick is such a positive community.
- Ayaan Haque, staff writer
My favorite memory from D115 is probably from my first OTF as a page designer during my junior year. It is so rewarding and gratifying to see something like a paper come together after you have spent so much time and effort on it. Being able to see and experience a “real” newsroom environment was kind of nerve wracking but it is such a great experience.
- Sukirtha Muthiah, 2024-25 editor-in-chief
My favorite D115 memory is walking around the classroom with staff photographer Eirene Park and taking random photos of The Sidekick members and Mr. Wofford with the fisheye filter. It was enjoyable and cemented itself as a core D115 memory for me.
- Tareni Moorty, staff designer
My favorite D115 memory is being able to help my friends and classmates while working on content together.
- Akshara Kalwoji, staff designer
My favorite D115 memory is the leadership camp, coordinating plans and having a fun time before school started with leadership members who became friends is something I'll cherish forever.
- Elizabeth De Santiago, executive features editor
I always enjoyed D115 because it felt like the best representation of a place where I could bounce around ideas, whether it was for a graphic, opinion or page. I always got great immediate feedback and everyone had something valuable to say.
- Jayden Chui, 2023-24 staff designer
My favorite sidekick memories in D115 were when I stayed after school for off the floors. There was always some stress, but it was really great to work together and send them off for print.
- Maddy Park, 2024-25 staff photographer
My favorite memory in D115 is rushing to the room after school to discuss exciting tidbits of information as we try to be good journalists discovering the truth. That is when I felt the most professional and connected with our program!
- Prathi Tamara Sathish Kumar, staff writer
My favorite D115 memory is sitting on the counters on the side of the classroom while editors did their announcements or during the rest of class. It was a new and fun way to lighten the mood and sit in a new place.
