Library in campus Kortrijk

The Penta

The library is located in The Penta (Sint-Martens-Latemlaan 1 B - bibliotheek Howest Campus Kortrijk Weide). You can access the collection (books, newspapers, journals, syllabi... ) via bib.howest.be and lib.ugent.be. As a UGent-student you can request to transfer books from a library in Ghent to Teh Penta through inter library loan (ILL).

You use the following rooms for education related activities:

• Group work space Henri Dunantlaan 1 (first floor, room to the right of auditorium 5)
• The room to the right of the PC-room (unless the sign on the door indicates otherwise)

PC-room

When the pc-room (on the first floor) is not used for classes, it can allow you to work more interactively with your peers. There are up to 50 spaces.

PC-klas De pc-klas kan een mogelijkheid zijn om wat meer interactief te werken. Er zijn 50 plaatsen en reservatie is niet mogelijk. Gelegen op de eerste verdieping, ingang Henri Dunantlaan 2.

Knowledge Centre Psychology & Educational Sciences

There are 60 study spaces available in the library on the ground floor. The study room on the first floor offers up to 70 study spaces (if there are no classes). It is not possible to reserve your seat.

Cafetaria (resto)

Service hours are until 14:30. Afterwards, until campus closes, you can use the 200 spots to work and study. You can reach the cafeteria via the Triestlaan-entrance.

Study spaces the Therminal

During examination periods the Therminal building (Hoveniersberg 24; in between campus UFO and campus Tweekerken) offers up to 200 study spaces. You have to reserve your spot in advance. Opening hours: monday-sunday, 8:30 - 24:00

You can work and study in the studentfoyer on the first floor.

Group working spaces in Campus Merelbeke

You can meet and collaborate in the multipurpose space of the Faculty Library when no classes are scheduled. You can consult the weekly schedule at the entrance of the library. The on campus Resto also offers room for group work after service stops at 14:30.

In the Faculty Library Economics and Business Administration (third floor) up to 220 study spaces are available. You can:

• study alone or in group
• make assignments
• watch an online class (bring your own earphones or borrow a pair at the front desk)
• meet peers

During examination periods you have to reserve your spot!

Group working spaces in campus Boekentoren

There are 10 group working spaces available in the Professor's Corridor in the Boekentoren. There are 8 small to large group working spaces available in the Faculty Library (5 in the Magnel wing and 3 in the Loveling wing). You can reserve these spaces for informal educational activities such as group assignments, discussing papers, small-scale meetings, online meetings.

In de bibliotheek kan je studeren en boeken raadplegen in het bibliotheek gedeelte. Er zijn 10 studieplekken beschikbaar. In de multifunctionele ruimte die bestemd is voor groepswerken en hybride lessen kan je ook studeren wanneer er geen lesactiviteit is. De beschikbaarheid van deze ruimte kan je raadplegen op de wekelijkse kalender aan de ingang van de bibliotheek.
