A writer's purpose can be classify into three (3):1. To entertain 2. To inform3. To persuade

The main goal a writer of a descriptive paragraph is:-To make/activate the readers imagination so that they can feel/see what is being describe in the text.

Descriptive Paragraph

A descriptive paragraph is done to create a vivid image on your mind. They use specific words and details to make a picture of: 1- place 2-time 3-person 4- object The descriptor are used to activate your sense, create a mental picture.

Examples of descriptive paragraphs:

"The air is warm and smells like wet plants and fresh rain. Huge green trees grow very tall, and their leaves are so big they look like umbrellas. You can hear the loud 'ko-kee' sound of tiny frogs hiding in the bushes. Beautiful waterfalls crash over grey rocks into cool, clear pools. Everywhere you look, you see bright green ferns and colorful flowers dancing in the wind."
