A impulsão, ou empuxo, é uma força vertical, de baixo para cima, exercida por um fluido (líquido ou gás) sobre um corpo nele imerso. De acordo com o Princípio de Arquimedes, a intensidade da impulsão é igual ao peso do volume de fluido deslocado pelo corpo.
