SNAKES
INSTRUCTIONS
Players begin in the starting square and take turns going around the board. To earn a roll of the dice, you must first answer a question correctly. If your answer is incorrect, your turn ends without a dice roll and play moves to the next person. If you answer correctly, you roll the dice and move forward the number of spaces shown. If you land on the start of a ladder, you must answer another question correctly to climb up to the square at the top of the ladder. If you land on the tail of a snake, you’ll need to answer a question correctly to avoid sliding down. If you answer incorrectly, you move down the snake to the square where its head ends. If a player is six or fewer squares away from the end, they must roll precisely the number needed to reach it. If the number rolled exceeds the number of remaining squares, the player cannot move. The player who reaches the final square first or who is closest to the final square when the meeting time is up is the winner. ** If you do not know the answer to a question you may ring a CSS friend to help you out! You can only choose one person per question!
If the player falls on the bottom of a ladder, they must answer a question move up to the top square where the ladder ends.
If the player lands on a square where the tail of a snake starts, they must answer a question to avoid going down to a lower square where the headis located.
