We conducted a survey to find out if people feel safe going out alone in their neighborhood and what they think could be done to improve their neighborhood. Most responded that they did not feel safe, especially due to poor lighting and isolated areas and that these are the things to improve.

The Urban degradation creates a "feedback loop" where the environment influences people's feeling, and how they feel determinates how they treat the environment. In psychology, this is often studied trough the Broken Windows Theory
