Student Centre/Library
At the heart of BCS, the Student Centre is where school life comes alive, filled with energy, connection, and community. From movie nights and school dances to everyday moments between friends, it’s where memories are made. Just above, the Peter G. Holt Memorial Library offers a quiet, welcoming space for focus, curiosity, and discovery. With over 15,000 resources across physical and digital collections, it supports both academic success and a lifelong love of learning. Together, these spaces reflect the balance at BCS, vibrant, connected, and always growing.

Robotics / Innovative programming
Innovation is in motion at BCS. Through robotics and hands-on programming, students design, build, and problem-solve in real time, turning ideas into action. Whether in the lab or at competitions, they collaborate, think critically, and push boundaries. The STEAM* component of our curriculum comes to life through hands-on experiences that require students to apply transdisciplinary skills to solve global issues. (*Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics)

Debate
At BCS, student voices are meant to be heard. Through our debate team, which meets weekly, students develop critical thinking and confident communication skills while engaging in structured argumentation. The team participates in Quebec School Debating Association events throughout the year, typically competing in British Parliamentary and Canadian Parliamentary formats. This year, students from Form V to VII took part in tournaments in Montreal and Ottawa, gaining valuable experience against peers from across the region.

Kitchen Skills
Students in Forms II to V engage in the POP Program, which offers opportunities to develop life skills and explore passions beyond the classroom through a diverse range of dynamic courses. All students take part in the Kitchen Skills course, creating a variety of dishes with a cultural twist. Through this experience, they not only learn to cook but also gain practical knowledge about staying healthy. The course further encourages confidence and independence as students apply their skills in real, everyday contexts.
