Today I’m going to talk about the digital gap with older people.The digital gap is the difference between people who can use technology and those who cannot.Nowadays many things are done online.However, many older people have difficulties using digital devices.If people cannot use technology, they may have problems in their daily life.

Causes of the digital gap

There are several reasons why older people have difficulties with technology.

  • Many of them did not grow up using computers or the internet.
  • Some older people are afraid of making mistakes.
  • They may think they will break the device if they press the wrong button.
  • Some people have vision or memory problems.
  • If technology is too complicated, it becomes harder for them to learn.

Consequences for older people
