High School Visual Arts
PreK - 8 Visual Arts
Production, Performance and Exhibition of Visual Arts Students will be able to develop manipulative skills and conceptual understanding in order to produce, perform, and exhibit their own works in the arts. Historical and Cultural Contexts Students will be able to develop the skills and knowledge to identify, compare, contrast, and analyze works in the arts in their historical and cultural context. ***Effort should be made to coordinate with disictrict’s social studies, literature and curricula when possible. Critical Response Students will be able to develop the skills and knowledge to examine, analyze, interpret and evaluate works in the arts. ***Emphasis should be placed on developing various processes of critical analysis that will allow the learner to interpret meaning(s) of a work of art. Aesthetic Response Students will be able to develop the skills and knowledge to investigate the philosophical aspects of works in the arts to explore personal and historical definitions of art and art’s varied purposes. ***Emphasis should be placed on examining how aesthetic choices impact the intended and/or interpreted meanings.

HS Spanish
HS French
The high school French program develops students’ ability to understand, speak, read, and write in French while building cultural awareness across the French-speaking world. French I–III provide a progression from foundational vocabulary and structures to more advanced communication, with increasing emphasis on fluency, real-world application, and consistent use of the language. Across all courses, students engage in active listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while exploring culture, global perspectives, and meaningful topics that support confident communication and global citizenship.
The high school Spanish program develops students’ ability to understand, speak, read, and write in Spanish while building cultural awareness across Spanish-speaking communities. Spanish I–III provide a progression from foundational skills to more complex communication, with increasing emphasis on real-world topics, cultural connections, and sustained use of the language. Heritage Spanish I–II are designed for native and heritage speakers, strengthening literacy, grammar, and formal communication while deepening cultural understanding through diverse texts and media. Across all courses, students build proficiency through active participation, preparing them for advanced study and real-world application of the language.

PK8 General Music
The 4–8 instrumental music program develops students’ ability to perform, create, and respond to music while building foundational skills, techniques, and musical understanding. Students use instruments to express ideas, explore music across cultures and time periods, and engage in evaluating and interpreting music, developing both technical proficiency and artistic voice.
The music program develops students’ ability to create, perform, and respond to music while building technical skills, creativity, and expression. Students explore music as a form of communication, study its cultural and historical contexts, and evaluate its quality and meaning, developing their own voice as musicians.
HS Music
HS Theater
The music program offers a range of courses—including performance, theory, and music technology—that develop students’ technical skills, creativity, and musicianship across vocal, instrumental, and digital platforms. Students build proficiency through practice, performance, and composition while exploring music as a form of communication and cultural expression. Across all offerings, students engage in creating, performing, and responding to music, developing discipline, collaboration, and artistic voice.
The theatre program develops students’ skills in acting, performance, and production while building creativity, collaboration, and communication. Students engage in interpreting and producing drama and explore elements of directing, design, and technical theatre.
HS CTE
PK8 Tech Ed
The computer science and business program builds students’ foundational technology, business, and problem-solving skills through courses in digital literacy, programming, and engineering. Students develop proficiency with industry tools, explore computer science concepts, and apply learning to real-world contexts such as web design, app development, and business systems. Advanced courses prepare students for college credit and career pathways, emphasizing critical thinking, creativity, and practical application.
Technology education can be divided into three main systems: Biotechnological Systems – Bioconversion, Bioprocessing, Environment, Ergonomics, Engineering/Design Systems, Research and Development Informational Systems – CADD, Drafting & Design, Desktop Publishing, Electronic Communications, Graphic Communications, Multimedia Technology, Networking, Video/Television Production, Web Design & Publishing, Engineering/Design Systems, Research and Development Physical Systems – Automation/Robotics, CAM/CIM, Construction, Electronic Circuits/Control Systems, Energy Systems, Architecture and Community Planning, Engineering/Design Systems, Enterprise Organization, Manufacturing, Material Processes (woodworking, metalworking), Transportation, Research and Development
HS JROTC
The JROTC program is a four-year course that develops leadership, citizenship, and career readiness skills for students at any grade level. Students build knowledge in areas such as history, government, technology, physical fitness, and financial planning while strengthening responsibility, accountability, and interpersonal skills. In advanced levels, students apply these skills in leadership roles, managing program functions and leading peers with guidance from instructors.
