I chose this book because the story is very captivating from the beginning. It follows Millie, who becomes a housemaid for the Winchester family, but strange and uncomfortable things start happening in the house. The characters seem mysterious and they all have secrets. This creates a lot of suspense throughout the story. There are also several surprising plot twists that make the book very exciting. I also like this book because it is simple and fast to read, and I like thrillers.
