The life of a pirate
The late 17th and early 18th century are considered the Golden Age of piracy. The pirates sailed across the Caribbean and the Atlantic Ocean. They attacked ships and brought back gold and other treasures from the New World to Europe. Their life inspired many books and movies. Pirates were violent and they spent their money, they didn't bury their treasures. The Sea Peoples were the pirates' ancestors. They lived 4,000 years ago and terrorized many countries in the Mediterranean Sea. Pirates still exist today, they use modern technology. They are less numerous and are only present in high-risk areas in Asia where expensive ressources are transported. Pirates are not a legend and they evolve with their time.
