impact data

This report summarises the impact seen from myHappymind across the academic year. It is structured around your baseline data and the myHappymind system which is the content we teach in the programme.

Meet Your Brain

Developing self-regulation toolsIn this module, the children learn all about their brain and how it helps them to be their best selves. They develop self-regulation strategies and a solid understanding of the neuroscience of how we learn and grow. Understanding the brain is a key way to help children deepen their understanding of emotions and normalise the need to self-regulate, a key strategy in building confidence and self-esteem.

appreciate

Developing an Attitude of Gratitude In this module, the focus is on helping children to develop an Attitude of Gratitude. Gratitude is one of the simplest yet most powerful ways to boost wellbeing in the short term and to create a healthy brain in the long term. By getting children used to expressing gratitude regularly we’re getting that Dopamine flowing in the brain and supporting their overall happiness.

engage

Building resilience and perseverance In this module, we are focused on building resilience and perseverance. We do this by helping children to set their own ‘Big Dream Goals’; these are things that the children want to achieve because they are passionate about them, e.g. learning a new skill in sport or art. By setting children up with goals they are internally motivated to achieve we give them their own evidence that they already have the skills to be resilient and to persevere.

testimonials

The testimonials section of the report showcases firsthand experiences and feedback from educators, pupils, and parents who have benefitted from myHappymind.

Daisy Cooper, myHappymind ChampionSouth Wonston Primary School

"Since implementing the myHappymind programme at our school, we have witnessed a significant and positive transformation in our students' overall wellbeing and emotional resilience. The impact has been profound, leading to a noticeable reduction in both minor and complex wellbeing issues among our pupils. myHappymind provides our staff and students with an incredibly accessible, structured and engaging framework for understanding and regulating their emotions. The five modules have been seamlessly integrated into our school day, equipping our children with practical, science-backed tools like mindful breathing and gratitude practices that they use effectively both inside and outside the classroom."

29.

Daisy Cooper, myHappymind Champion South Wonston Primary School

"We have seen a tangible decrease in disruptive behaviours, anxiety-related incidents and general low-level wellbeing concerns. Students are more articulate about their feelings and are proactively using the strategies they have learned to manage challenging situations. By empowering students with early intervention and self-management skills, myHappymind is helping to address issues before they escalate, meaning fewer children require external specialist support. Our classrooms feel calmer and more focused. Students demonstrate increased empathy, better conflict resolution skills, and a stronger sense of connection with their peers and teachers. We wholeheartedly recommend myHappymind to any school seeking a robust, effective and evidence-informed solution to enhance student wellbeing. It has not just been a resource; it has become an essential part of our school's culture and a fundamental tool for creating a supportive and emotionally healthy learning environment."

30.

Parent Feedback

"I just wanted to share some feedback about myHappymind. When my child was poorly a few weeks ago, we went to the Walk-in Centre, he was put on a bed and had some tests. He felt really poorly and was really scared. He was breathing and saying something under his breath, when I asked him what he was saying, he said 'think myHappymind'. He told me he had learnt it at school and to use it when he feels panicked. I just wanted to say that it really helped him calm down and breathe slowly." Parent Woodcroft Primary School

31.

Parent Feedback

"My daughter has been struggling with the access arrangements between her Dad and me, as we are no longer together. She told me that she misses me so much when she is at Daddy’s, but then remembers to do some Happy Breathing, which helps her brain work together, and makes her feel better. I looked at the parent app and will watch some of the Mini Masterclasses, especially about Separation Anxiety." Parent Breamore CofE Primary School

"My son is neurodiverse and, thanks to the curriculum at Breamore is now able to identify self-regulation techniques, such as breathing, and better understand what he needs in any given moment. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful programme." Parent Breamore CofE Primary School

32.

Pupil Feedback

"I really enjoy myHappymind because it helps me understand my feelings better and makes my brain feel stronger. My favourite part is when we do the Happy Breathing exercises, because they make me feel calm and ready to learn. One time, I felt really nervous before a test, and I used the Happy Breathing, and it helped me not panic and just try my best. If I were telling a friend about myHappymind, I’d tell them it’s the best because it teaches you how to be happy and brave at the same time. I think it’s made a big difference in our class because we’re kinder to each other and better at solving problems. It makes me feel calm, confident, and proud. I think myHappymind is important because it helps everyone’s brains grow strong and helps our whole school feel happier." Pupil Clanfield Junior School

33.

Parent Feedback

"Since our son started using myHappymind, we’ve noticed a big improvement in his resilience and self-esteem. He talks more openly about his emotions, and he is better at handling challenges. It’s been wonderful to see him grow in confidence!" Parent Clanfield Junior School

"myHappymind has made a huge difference in our household. Our son now has a better understanding of his emotions and can self‑regulate when feeling anxious or overwhelmed. The parent app has been a great tool for reinforcing the techniques he learns at school, especially the breathing exercises. It’s helped us build a calmer, more supportive environment at home, and we’re so grateful for it." Parent Whitchurch CofE Primary School

"My son used to be anxious at bedtime. He never used to be able to get to sleep on his own. He now uses Happy Breathing techniques from myHappymind to fall asleep on his own. As a result, he sleeps more and is doing really well in school. He is like a new boy." Parent Western Downland CofE Aided Primary School

34.

Emily Grindey, Year 1 Teacher Wester Downland CofE Aided Primary School

"We were so excited to share with the children and team that we are a myHappymind Bronze Accredited school. The process of gathering the evidence for accreditation was relatively easy because the programme is so closely aligned with the school's existing ethos and whole-school approach. We are already looking forward to exploring Silver Accreditation next academic year. The resources are brilliant, and they have truly become part of our school life. The Ready to Shine Programme will be a huge help with our younger children as well, especially as our pupil numbers have dropped and we are moving to a Year 1/Year 2 mixed class next academic year. The transition from Early Years to KS1 is such a big step, with changes in classroom routines and expectations. This programme will be a real support for our pupils and help ease that transition, and I can’t wait to see it in action."

35.

Teacher Feedback

"Since implementing myHappymind, we have seen clear improvements in children’s ability to manage their mental health and wellbeing. Pupils are more aware of their emotions and are increasingly able to recognise and articulate how they are feeling, using the shared language taught through the programme. Children’s self-regulation has improved, with pupils more readily using calming and problem-solving strategies independently when faced with challenges. This has led to fewer emotionally driven behavioural incidents and a calmer learning environment. We have also seen a positive impact on self-esteem, as children show greater confidence in expressing themselves, asking for help when needed, and reflecting on their successes. In terms of resilience, pupils are more willing to persevere with difficult tasks, recover more quickly from setbacks, and approach challenges with a more positive mindset. Overall, myHappymind has supported children to become more emotionally resilient, confident learners who are better equipped to manage both their wellbeing and their learning." Louise Piggin, Headteacher Fryern Infant School

36.

Teacher Feedback

"Completing the myHappymind Mini Masterclass on the Trauma-informed approach really helped to secure my confidence in my practice. While I was already using many of the strategies and principles, watching the training reinforced that I was following the right approach and deepened my understanding of why these methods are so effective. It has strengthened my confidence to respond consistently and thoughtfully to children’s needs, ensuring my practice is both supportive and informed." Class Teacher St Alban's CofE Aided Primary School

"myHappymind is fabulous! Even from an admin side of things, we support parents in getting children into school in the mornings when they're feeling quite anxious, and we support lots of children with first aid. Having that common language and understanding the science behind the programme has been so helpful for us all. We love it!" Admin Assistant Hiltingbury Junior School
